Ingredients
- Tofu
- Corn starch
- Egg
- Salt
Instructions
- Cut the tofu into blocks of desired size
- Add tofu to a pan with salted water and bring to a boil
- Leave boiling for 2-3 minutes
- Transfer tofu to colander and let it cool
- At this point tofu is ready to be added to a dish
- If you want to fry the tofu nice and crispy, grab a large plate and add a layer of cornstarch
- Put a clean cloth on top and place the tofu on the cloth
- Press the tofu to drain out water
- Dry the top of the tofu as well (either with the cloth or separate paper towels)
- Add around half an egg per block of tofu, mix it together with the tofu in a bowl
- Grab another plate with a layer of cornstarch and place the egg-coated tofu on the plate
- Sprinkle more cornstarch on top and mix it all together, coating all pieces of tofu
- Pan-fry or deep fry the tofu until nice and golden
