Ingredients
- Gnocchi, either home made or store bought
- Olive oil
- Butter
- Parmesan cheese
- spices: sage (fresh or dried, optional)
Instructions
- Warm your pain until it’s hot (drop of water should float in it)
- Lower heat to low-medium
- Pour in a generous amount of olive oil and add some butter
- Throw in your gnocchi and sage, add a lid to the pan and let them sit for 3-5 minutes
- Once your gnocchi starts to let go of the pan, and they start browning on the bottom, remove the lid and flip the gnocchi around with a fork
- Bake the gnocchi for 3-5 more minutes without a lid until golden brown on all sides
- Serve with parmesan cheese and tomato sauce on the side
- Proteins can be:
- light fresh cheese like cottage cheese, stracchino, ricotta, put some of the cheese on the gnocchi and mix some with the sauce
- white fish on the side
- Add-on veggies can be peas (mix with the tomato sauce), or grilled carrots
